Welcome to Courageous Counselling

Reaching out for support can feel like a significant step. I provide a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns at your own pace.

With over eleven years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, trauma, anxiety, shame, grief, and identity development, my work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and somatic-informed practice.

Sessions are available in Kariong, via telehealth, or through mobile appointments by arrangement.

I am a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association.

  • Individual counselling offers a confidential and supportive space to explore what is happening in your life at your own pace. It is an opportunity to reflect on patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop greater clarity around thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

    Sessions may focus on anxiety, stress, low mood, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, or feeling stuck. Together, we work to understand the underlying factors contributing to distress while building practical strategies to strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, and self-awareness.

    The approach is collaborative and tailored to your goals. Whether you are seeking short-term support for a specific issue or longer-term therapeutic work, sessions are guided by your needs and readiness.

  • Relationships naturally move through seasons of closeness, stress, transition, and change. Couples counselling provides a structured and supportive space to explore patterns of communication, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, and unmet needs.

    Sessions focus on improving understanding between partners, strengthening emotional safety, and developing practical tools for healthier communication. Whether you are navigating ongoing tension, rebuilding trust, adjusting to life transitions, or wanting to reconnect more intentionally, the aim is to help both individuals feel heard, respected, and supported.

    The process is collaborative and balanced. Time is given to understanding each person’s perspective while also identifying the relational dynamics that may be maintaining distress. Interventions are tailored to your specific goals as a couple.
